Travel
Most of you will be travelling from abroad to reach us (we really do appreciate it!) so in terms of reaching us, the best airport to fly to is Geneva which has plenty of flights every day. It’s always worth booking early though to get a good deal. It takes about an hour to drive from Geneva airport to Talloires. We advise either to arrange a taxi (estimated cost EU150) or book a rental car. You won’t need a car during the three-day celebration, but you may want one to explore.

Restaurants
For dinner on Friday evening (cocktails finish at 8.30-9 pm) and for lunch on Saturday before the wedding (wedding K.O. at 4 pm), we recommend you spend your morning by the lake; it’s very beautiful! If you’re looking for a nice place for lunch and/or dinner on Friday night a few recommendations are below (these will get booked up in advance - it’s high season) if you get stuck let us know.
Petit Paradis - delicious food on the water’s edge (be warned they will only accept bookings by phone 3 days before!)
The 1903 @ Auberge du Pere Bise - recently renovated, delicious (expensive) food will be booked up far in advance
La Savoyarde - overlooking the Talloires beach, it’s a relaxed bar which serves pizzas, burgers, salads, and snacks (this is more for lunch rather than dinner)
La restaurant Jean Sulpice - double Michelin-starred restaurant (same place as the Auberge du Pere Bise)
FLORA - tasty french food
Le cafe de la Place - low key but delicious french brasserie
Children
A few of you have asked us about bringing children as you hope to make a holiday of the trip, this is a wonderful idea, the Alps in the summer are beautiful. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children on Saturday (apart from babes in arms). They are welcome to join on Friday and Sunday (although we would caution against bringing them on Sunday as the venue has a decking area without a barrier into the lake).
If you need help organising child care let us know.
